Da Nha is a more than 800 hectares of rain forest. The 280 households that own 1 to 2 hectares of land per family show a huge dependance with the forest in terms of livelihood, fuel wood, timber wood and domestic/medicinal use of its natural resources. The rain forest is thus threaten by deforestation, disinterest of villagers in natural resources protection, overuse of chemical products for agriculture and monocrop. All Da Teh district has similar environment and issues.

• We raise awareness about human activities that endanger the eco-system, such as deforestation, slash and burn agriculture or the overuse of chemical fertilizers and pesticides.

• We promote and train the farmers to use compost, natural amendment to fertilize and natural pesticides.

• We try out and disseminate new eco-friendly techniques like permaculture and agroforestery that are more likely related to the beneficiaries’ living context.

• We emphasize that more diverse are the species one plant, more sustainable and longer will be lives in the eco-system.

• In the organic school farm, our vegetables are planted in accordance with agroecologic-oriented cultural association techniques, culture rotation so as to preserve and be in adequation with the existing ecosystem.

• Timber tree : Melia azedarach, dipterocarpaceae, Erythropleum fordii, Cay chong saù set, dot, acacia

• Herbs, plants, trees for medical use : dây hoàn đắng, cây tổ kiến, Ixora
